Welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting. I'm Carol, married to Bill, with two children. I love to dabble in all types of crafty pursuits and enjoy nothing more than attending workshops and learning new techniques, which I then try to reproduce at home....sometimes with success!!!
Just a little post as a test. Sorry FB peeps you will have seen this before. This is a shoe I entered as part of a challenge recently,on Jac'sThings To Alter .......... all the tiny cogs are from her shop!!
Had great fun altering this .
Here is how the shoe began, a bargain for £1.00 at the local charity shop and a good size to work on, an 8.
Next step was to adhere all the cogs and gems, and adhesive silver tape which was then texturised with a point tool
Used several different acrylic paints to give the cogs and metal an aged rusted effect, here is the close up.
This treatment was given to the entire shoe, with the addition of the good old fashioned peel off on the heel for some added detail, and some metal wings.
Would really love a pair like this, great fun altering. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon
